SA 3/18/2010 R7 - Musket Man's Play of the Day
Hello again! This play is taken from DRF's free race of the day, and its the 7th at Santa Anita going a mile on the turf for fillies and mares 4+ in a 62k A/OC. #5 Welken- With a slow pace expected, this horse will probably be sitting second off the longshot 6 horse who will go out for the lead. Her ability to rate close to the pace will make her tough to beat as she will get the first jump on the pacesetter. Owns the fastest winning time at this distance in the race and looks to be tough to beat. #7 Hermoine's Magic- With a win at th...

SA 3/18/2010 R8 - Jarrod Horak's Play
Thursday's 8th race (4:37PM PT) from Santa Anita Park is a maiden claiming event for 4yo's and up traveling seven panels on synthetic ground. #4 Warren’s Tommy Too (6-1) made a nice forward move 2nd time out, and place finisher came back to easily earn diploma. #5 Nathaniel (4-1) finished 4th in same race my top exits. That was his first tagged outing, and he probably needed the race as well. #9 Casa O (3-1) was headed in 7f bow. Dons the hood and sports a bullet for this. The Plays: $24 to win #4, $4 Exacta 4/5-9 ($8), $4 Exacta 5-9/4 ($8)Chec...

SA 3/18/2010 R3 - Today's Racing Digest's Santa Anita Play of the Day
This is likely not an attractive betting race unless Orient Emperor is allowed to use his speed to his advantage. That one was taken back when sent long for the first time Feb 24 and lacked a rally. He deserves a puncher's chance to get the money. While he's longshot material, the HF 15a lands on Bandeira Union, who is off turf and put up for sale for the first time while making comeback start #3. He could be sitting on 'go'. Major General was lapped on the winner as the even-money favorite Jan 29, a race taken off...

GP 3/18/2010 R3 - Today's Racing Digest's Gulfstream Park
Elusive Rob is a perfect three-for-three, and all three wins have come in daylight fashion including a five-length win over this kind Feb 3. A couple of these look like they might be able to give him some competition, but he has to be considered the one to beat. He's our HF 15a. Kiernan's Legacy easily beat this kind Feb 25. He likes Gulfstream and merits respect right back. Brassie Prince was 3rd behind Kiernan's Legacy in that Feb 25 heat, but came back to just miss with open $15,000 claimers March 6. The 7...

AQU 3/18/2010 R3 - Today's Racing Digest's Aqueduct Play of the Day
Ryan's Gift has failed at short odds in his last pair and in three of his four starts, including when 2nd of four March 4. He earned a big number in that small field, but such lineups can produce false figures. His two previous races suggest that he's not as good as neighbor He's a Scrooge. Asmussen claimed that one Jan 13, ran him back for more Feb 25 and saw him tired to 2nd as the odds-on favorite. This further jump in class is a good sign. He lands an HF 15a, while comebacking second-timer Trust of Honor deserv...
